i brought a vortex II from uk company pcspecialist a year or so ago. now the 7970m is out im looking at upgrading from my current gpu and was wondering if it is easy to install myself?
ive never upgraded a gpu before, so just want some tips or is it worth paying the 50 pound for a company to install it.
    cheers

Have you ever upgraded a CPU in a desktop? If you're comfortable doing that then the GPU upgrade should be no problem.

It is really a matter of how comfortable you are doing it yourself. There will always be a first time for everything, so if you want to do it, go for it. Just make sure you find a few good guides and it is usually a bad thing if you have parts left over when you are done. Personally, I plan on doing any upgrades on my computer myself because I want to save the money, but I am confident I will not mess up. Messing up would be a little expensive.
