Could someone smarter explain me, what does this kind of warranty actually mean? Thing is, that I live in Estonia and I would like to buy a Sager laptop, but there isn't any reseller here, so I have to order it from Germany or from somewhere else in Europe. If something happens, who has to pay the shipping costs to send it back for a warranty and then back to me again.
Thanks!

Of course I cannot speak for each and every reseller. -

yeah id say its the person that brought it that has to pay for delivery both ways, and maybe some sort of VAT charge as well, well in the UK you might get hit with that not sure about other countries though.

Read the terms of the warranty; that's where the provisions regarding who has to pay for shipping will be.

He also states Europe. Sager = Clevo in many people's minds.
-
Bumer stated Sager so I tried to help out by finding all the info I could in relation to Sager.
I read words, I don't have ESP...so what "many people" relate in their minds has no bearing.
EDIT: of course you are right 99% of the time, so there is no point in discussing it further... -
I'll be in Israel most of the time that I'm going to have this laptop and what crow posted is what i understand the warranty to be from Sagers site itself. In other words (unless someone can correct me) the warranty is useless to you and I, because of obscene shipping costs its not worth it. I'm trying to locate a 3rd party insurance company to insure my laptop in such an event, however finding one for Israel is difficult.

Fade To Black does have a point and it causes lots of confusion.
For anyone who isn't aware, Sager has nothing to do with any European Companies (unless we have overlooked a Sager reseller here). If bummer is buying from Europe (Germany) I expect the best place would be Nexoc, though as quite a few European companies like ourselves have a European Collect And Return to cover the whole continent - you can therefore look for the best deal/favourite manufacturer rather than the closest
Return To Base usually means that the customer pays for shipping at least one way, if not both.
-
yes Fade To Black is correct, I meant Clevo generally
-
If you're from Europe (and your country is a member of the European Union), then check for the lowest price (with collect & return warranty, as it's the best and it will save you money every time you will return the product to the reseller for warranty issues) as that's what matters (along with a good reputation, of course). I'd get it from the UK as the shipping costs aren't too high and because they have 17.5% VAT, one of the lowest VAT percentages in Europe.
-
Thanks everybody for answering
-
Yes, but only in Europe.

luckily Estonia is in European Union
