The power cord for my sager NP8690 is fraying. This is the cheap bit before the AC converter (expensive bit). I want to replace it asap but I can't find a obvious choice. It has e55943 written on the cord with 7A and 125V. Most replacements that amazon sells do not have the amps or volts reported. Do I have to match these? I found one that stated 110V.
Please help. I don't want my cord to go and not be able to play Skyrim.
Thanks.

Are you talking about the actual portion of the assembly that plugs into the wall, or the cord that comes off of the adapter that goes into the computer? If it's that cord coming off the adapter I would generally recommend replacing the whole thing, since it is a piece specifically designed for the machine,
