hi guys,
just wanted to ask as i am going to india for a month, i would obviously take the laptop (np 5793) with me. However there are large amount of power surges u get throughout the day....I think there were times where you get 5 or 6 a day...and then on the 6th one u just get a total power cut.
..its ridiculous....basically does anyone have a solution for this problem?...
As i would like to protect my new laptop from the power surges....are there any compact adapters which I can take with me on my travels so that I can charge it in hotels/houses through the adapter with peace of mind?
btw i live in the uk so links to uk stores would be nice...im not only looking for an adapter from a shop online, i wud like to know if possible about any recommendations after having used one?
EDIT: Also does it have a double pronged or a triple pronged power connection...you''ll see what i mean in the link below:

Thanks,
Arji

Though i am not in the UK i do have this model from bestbuy you might be able to find one there in the UK as they make this one to work internationally.

lol! i live in India btw(mostly!!) and i've been using my Sager NP5793 for around 3 weeks here without probs!!
If u're gonna stay in a hotel or somethin! they have stabilizers and surge protectors pre-installed there!! -
I've been living under a rock under all these years, I didn't know that the included power adapter doesn't protect you from surges.

This is what I use, but I'm not sure if it is the plug type you are needing. It is from APC and is a great product. -
The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
A basic power surge protector would be good. But make sure the power pins match to the sockets there.
