    Hi
I can not connect my np5793 to TV via the s-video cable.
I plug the cable correctly and choose the correct AV channel on the TV, but the graphic card doesn't recognize the TV .
I also tried the Nvidia control panel but it was useless.
The TV i'm using is an Panasonic 52 inch video projection (its not old really).
How can I connect the TV correctly to the notebook.

On my M571RU, with one 8700M GT, tried on my Sony 40W2000 LCD TV and the S-Video port worked well.

Your problem is maybe due driver issues... try the new ForceWare Notebook official drivers(on nvidia's site), or the desktop ones with the PCI IDs added. The laptopvideo2go modded .infs sometimes miss some keys related to s-video out.

    ;)

I only used S-Video once on my notebook, it worked... but was fugly since it out outputted 480i.... yuck.

So I have been using DVI-DVI or DVI-VGA or DVI-HDMI... much better since they can output to max 1920x1200.

Have you tried those connections for your TV?

not yet i didnt try it on any other TV.
is it possible that the probloem is from the connecting cable? because i used the S-Video cable that was in the pacage of my PCs motherboard.

    could be the cable.

    its rare, but possible.

S-Video cables are cheap, I think you can even get them at a 99 cents or Dollar store.
