thanks. Even with the 3 years warranty it was only $2200. I wanted the best of performance and price and economy, I think I found the sweetspot. Now... the evil / dreaded wait begins

you've got a better processor and bigger hard drive than I do, but you paid for it, so I guess that's fine.

Best of luck with it and hope it arrives quickly and safely!

it took me a year of work, and paying what i could off of my college bills, but I figured I wanted something that could last 2.5 hrs in class, game like crazy, and not attract attention to itself. I figured to get more than I needed, yet stay relatively inexpensive so that I could always grow into apps, and also grow into future needs (more RAM, bigger SSD when they come out, etc.) There's something nice about dealing with a smaller company that can give you the personal attention you need rather than trying to meet a beancounter's expectation. I'm eagerly awaiting it, and even moreso after reading the good reports on this minimonster.

The extra battery? nothing wrong with having extra juice when you have an extended gaming session, or extended note-taking session.

That's a great spec there, the difference with my spec is that I got the Q9000 and 3GB of RAM and XP SP3. You won't have any regrets with your purchase at all because for me, I couldn't be happier with it and its gaming performance is like nothing I have ever experienced before on a laptop. It also beats my old 1.6 Ghz Dual Core PC in everything of course.

I know how it feels to work hard for something, it makes you appreciate it much more.

I wonder how well Supreme commander and GTA IV will run on that CPU. I am guessing that you didn't go with the Q9000 because you were worried about battery life right.

I didn't go with the q9000 because if i was going to take that, I'd have wanted 12MB L2 and I wanted to keep it "sager-approved" so to speak. GTA4 sucks, it needs 4 cores or it'll be on its knees. It's nice that nobody helped with it, so to me, I can't wait!

That is a good set up. :) In case you are in a urgent need you may want to talk with PowerNotebooks about the P9700 due to a short delay on them with Sager. Some of the other CPU options are expected in sooner then the P9700.

    Thanks Justin

It's on hold for win7 upgrade (ie; won't ship till mid-july)... and i only need it by late August. I figured 2 and a half months was enough time to wait.

    Jason

    PS: P9700s are THAT popular?

of course they are mate thats the CPU we went with ;-).....its a nice middle way and for the price a decnt amount of power to boot....
I was humming and harrring between the P9700 and the Q9000 but felt i coulld maybe get a higher clocked quad in the future.
Anyway it looks like a nice setup mate and well worth the wait.
