can you easly overclock these computers with the 8800m gtx and a T9300.

Also how come there is only room for one HDD and would it be a big differanc on this computer if we could do RAID 0?

I am just wondering becouse I order a P171X fx from gateway with a 8800 gts 965 chipset hard to overclock but I can put a raid in it. Would this make it faster than the CLEVO with a 8800gtx but not RAID?

if you add the 2nd hdd bracket and put it where the optical bay is you can do software RAID 0 in windows dyanmic drives.

You can overclock using setFSB or change the multipliers if you have an extreme processor. Clevo doesn't officially support two hard drives. The one instance was a custom made bracket by kaltmond.

now while clevo may not supply 2 hard drives, there is probably at least one more sata connector (pinout?) on the mainboard (I will see this someday soon :) )
now we all know that SSID drives can be thinner, meaning two stuck together could possibly fit where one standard drive would sit.

this is not entirely impossible :) it will take a brave man to try it..........or a nutcase.............I may be the latter :)

you can get 2nd hdd brackets from china off of ebay. they fit in with little modification.

well, having more hdd's isn't going to extend batt life.

you can gt 1.5 hours out of the d901c.

and don't expect to game hardcore on the battery... it doesn't work.

even on my xps m1710 that got me 2.5 hours battery life.

even with powermiser turned off and RMCLOCK at max. I couldn't play any graphic intensive game. ever.

maybe a light graphic game like gtr2 etc.

    lol battery life? :)
    I think it was 88minutes on the M570RU-U reviews I saw :)
    mostly Rock reviews btw...

it is probably completely possible to fit another drive, there might even be room to squeeze one in.
the mounting points might take up too much room, to allow for a little shock protection. there tends to be a little space around hdd's
    in larger notebooks.
and of course hdd heat dissipation is also an issue, stack one right on top of another and you could have hdd's overheating

SSD's however dont have motors etc so like ram wont need as much cooling

    I could so live with 2x 128gig ssd's in raid 0 :)
