in a hope to fix my sticky key issue, i called sager and asked for the latest bios. after looking up the serial number to verify which machine i had, they emailed me the latest.

so, after i flashed, my computer began rebooting itself pretty consistently whenever a load was placed on it.

my best guess is that this was a compatability issue with window 7. i tried reinstalling the entire O/S and various versions of the nvidia drivers. inevitably, the computer rebooted.

when i called sager to get the earlier version of the bios, they told me they didn't keep them and basically i was SOL.

thankfully, i was able to find clevo's page where i rolled back the bios (and firmware) to an earlier version. things are good again.

so, moral of this story? be careful if you have an 8660 and windows 7. make sure you know how to get to clevo's site.
