i am thinking about ordering a sager or asus from xoticpc
i see that you can buy a computer with 64 bit installed--
(64&32 bit cd included)--does this mean i can have the option of installing the 32 bit?

The cd you get will work for both 32 and 64 bit. When you go to the windows install screen it will ask you if you want x64 bit architecture or x86 (<--- 32bit) and then you can choose whichever one you want.

note that you cannot install both the 32 and 64 bit versions at the same time (dualboot) as the license is for one or the other

The only way you get both 32bit and 64bit media is if you order it with the 64bit version.

As has already been said, you can only have one or the other on your laptop at any given time, but you can format and then re-install either version that you want. The product key works with either version.

However if you request 32bit to be installed by Sager, you will only get the 32bit media.

You can get it with Vista Home Premium, Vista Business, or Vista Ultimate.
