so my 5797 has been experiencing these random stalls (freezes), with no bsod or anything. frequency doesnt seem to surpass about twice a day, even tho it was ok for the past week. I'm running vista 64 and this always happens when i'm surfing the web, and oddly enough when i'm running something java related in firefox (or maybe i'm only imagining things).

tried memtest and scandisc, all checked out fine.

you think it may just be vista?

Goto: Control Panel > Admin Tools > Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application and see if there are any warnings/errors...

    hm found this under system

    Error ID7011
A timeout (30000 milliseconds) was reached while waiting for a transaction response from the WerSvc service.

nothing under application at the time of the stall, but there was an error and a warning at random times

got my first hang with windows7 just now... its one of those where the sound stalls repeatedly

this is annoying. i wonder if it has to do with the wifi or vga drivers that were not downloaded from sager's site but the manufacturer.

on a side note... ? 187MB download for wifi drivers? the one from intel was 32mb.....
