i had this problem months ago where my 5797 would randomly freeze with no bsod, no event in eventviewer, no nothing, just freeze. this would happen both in vista and win7 and it left me puzzled for a while, until i rolled back to an older version of GPU drivers which solved it and was trouble free for months now.

just yesterday i decided to get the new drivers from nvidia, and lo and behold, it crashed on me once. when i turned it on the first time after the crash it was just a black screen (no beeps), and then when i shut it off and back on it was fine. this sometimes happened before i rolled back to the older drivers aswell

so i'm thinking its a driver conflict somewhere. i tried to find the chipset drivers from intel's website with no luck. can anyone point me to the right direction.
