    rapid flashing horizantol lines appear on laptop screen

    They are colerless more like a little grayish-white

    they go away when i adjust the screen a little( by movine it back or forward

    i have a nvidia go 7950
    intel core 2 duo
    2 gigs of ram
    120 gig hard drive

    Why is this happening?

    Might be a loose lcd cable. I sugest calling your supplier(the guys who sold you the laptop) to ask how to fix it either yourself or send it back for repairs.

    It sounds like maybe a bad connection to the screen somewhere? If you can open up the area under and above the keyboard, you may be able to tighten the cable to the screen (LCD cable).

    would it be possible to take it to any laptop repair people and tthey will check it out?

    It`s not like it needs repairing if it`s just an lcd cable. It just needs to be properly inserted. PM GOPHN from the forum, he know more about how to do this..
