When people say sagers are good/dependible. Is that in they work right out of the box or they last a long time?

both ---------------

Thinkpad/IBM reliability? Same caliber?

not sure about the T60-series, but definitely not as great as my T43p, on both material used and architecture. Still top notch compare to others tho.

I have had my Clevo for about 2.5 years now.... still going strong.

How can you quote yourself?
Duel personalities? lol -
The old school 'IBM' thinkpads are still, in my opinion, unmatched on the whole. A sager/clevo/compal will be more reliable and durable than most machines on the market today but in my opinion the IBMs/Thinkpads of yesteryear were in a league all their own.
You could pick one up and hold it in your hands, and just know that it would 'never' break. -
Sometimes it feels that way... :twitcy:

I would say both as well. I spoke to a customer just the other day who made his first call for support six years after purchasing his Sager, and only because he needed help installing drivers. To paraphrase Gophn, you will get out of your notebook what you put into it. So if you take care of it, it should last a long time.
As for what's the most reliable, I still use my Zenith Supersport 286, which is now 21 years old, for occasional textfile reading and DOS gaming. It's built double-tough. -
The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
It's very well built and reliable.

What is that thing?
I bet that things so old that they had to resurrect it from a fossilised nerd... kinda like in jurrasic park.
nah man im just kidding but fair play for taking such good care of it al this time -
Sweeet! I wish I hadn't been so callous in my youth and so casually discarded my old computers. Not the least, I wish I still had my first, an Atari 800 with - hold your breath - 48K RAM (that was pretty bad-a$$ back then, given that 64K was max). That was the first system I actually learned to do a little assembly on (I needed a graphic routine that redrew objects faster than the BASIC interpreter did).
Then, of course, there's the old IBM PC-luggable (that, at least, would have made a good doorstop).
reliability
