i had a question about repasting the heatsink with coolaboratory liquid pro/ultra
i am about to purchase it, to apply it to my new w230st, would there be a problem if i pasted it on the cpu and gpu?
i know its conductive, but i see alot of people put it on ihs on regular cpus when they delid.

Just be careful not to have it got on any other components. As long as it doesn't move past the metal on the CPU you should be fine. Most people opt for the non conductive stuff though as it works just as well typically and not really any benefit to not going that route as far as I'm aware.

Agreed with Derek. The Coolaboratory compound also requires spreading in its application process if I recall correctly, so you do need to be careful as to not only not apply too much, but also do not spread it over the circuitry. Honestly, while I've heard it works very nicely, I think one of the non conductive compounds will treat that W230ST almost as well.
