    replace p170em motherboard by newest model?

    Hi guys my motherboard in my p170em is dead, i need to buy new one anyway. Can I buy motherboard from from newest model like p170sm-a or 177, is it will fit to my old case.
    It is point doing something like that, i recon if it is possible i still need to change my cpu, now i have 3610qm.
    It is will help in whole enduro problem or new models still are muxless. gpu = 7970m

    Most of the ports on the SM board just about line up with the case, with the exception of the DVI port (the SM chassis replaces the DVI port for a mini DisplayPort). There may be other subtle differences that will prevent physical installation, though.

    Current models still have the "muxless design," but Enduro/AMD drivers have improved.

    With most clevo models, the parts are identical, you'd need to be confident in the fact that you can drill a hole in the chassis, the fans are the same, you existing GPU, RAM, Wi-Fi card, LCD, ect will work fine, you will however need a new CPU, as Haswell uses a different socket to the Ivy bridge chipset.

    This is of course, under the assumption you intend to upgrade to a P170SM, in any other case, it will likely not work.
