the battery of my 8150 is at an 80% wear level. i know conventional wisdom says that there is no way to re calibrate the battery.

just wondering if anything has changed and if these batteries can actually be reset.

It goes up and down on its own sometimes... but I don't know if there's actually a way to get long-lasting results. I know my D900F went to about 5% max charge in like 1.5 years. I had a total of 1 minute battery life.

We havent heard of any way to do so. You're best off getting a new one if you use battery much.

im at 29% after 3.5 years, never really use the battery though :) good enough for me as long as it gives me enough time to switch from power socket A to B :D

How much you use it on battery definitely will affect its lifespan.

Number of cycles and temperature (absolute and rapid changes) are the big impactors on life with modern charging circuits.
