recently my laptop came up with a disastrous issue of shutting down after couple of minutes after i power it , i took it to a maintenance shop and they told me either the gpu or the motherboard is defected , i was wondering would the laptop boot-up and reach windows loading screen if the gpu is defected ? also can i remove the gpu and run solely on intel 3000 graphics?? is the maintenance shop guy is clueless?

can you try and keep all your questions to one post as they are all about the same issue. starting multiple posts is pointless and against forum rules.
