    sager 2090 and ATI 3650

    My video card failed and I read some have successfully installed the ATI 3650 Mobiltiy
    Could anyone whose done this please confirm the bios versions that work.
    I read one post that confirmed the vg.86m06.003 had worked, do any others work and is an Acer bios a problem?

    Jesus thats ancient! It speaks a ton about the durability of Clevo :D
    Can't you just buy a new machine? Getting a GPU for that one might prove harder than its worth!

    It's hard to say at this point, the HD3650 is known for being pretty compatible with everything though.

    thanks you are correct it's ancient but it's my emergency machine should my more modern desktop fail I have a backup for email etc. Having run a user group for some years (in the past) and heard many stories I would recommend keeping one older machine as backup it may save your hide one day! If your laptop is your daily workhorse certainly get a newer model.
    Have now found in China many ATI 3650 cards of various bios types.

    I saw some 4500 series cards with MXM type 2 slot on ebay that are cheaper than 3650m.
    Prices ranged between $70-150 a piece.

    Thats expensive! Its a god damn ripoff!
