My laptop fails to open easily because it is hitting the hinge cover when it tries to open. I have to push down real hard on the middle of the hinge cover in order for the lcd screen to clear it. closing the laptop is no issue.

Not quite sure what is wrong, but I want to remove the hinge cover and re-seat it or something. Anyone have any photos or instructions on how to do this? the left and right sides pop up easily but the middle doesn't seem to want to pop out. don't want to force it unless recommended here.

    thanks

There is a screw in the middle that needs to be removed before the cover can come off.
