so a while back i got my computer and set up everything on it (specs in signature). i set the wireless internet up and it worked perfectly well. then just today i took it to class, and it didnt work. i got this weird error

also, i tried to put "wireless on" on the Intel ProSet Wireless, and it says something about a hardware switch.

i tried going to network connections and enabling wireless, but that didnt work either. i got the error in the picture above

please help! finals are coming soon and i need internet for one of my classes

Don't you have an external hardware switch for Wifi on your laptop?

Try keys combination first (I think it's FN+F10)

that didnt do anything. fn+f2 shows a little wifi thingy on it. i press it and whats suppose to happen?

also when i try to use intel proset/wireless, it says "The intel pro/wireless network connection is still disabled. use your hardware switch to enable it"

You have to hold the FN key while you press on the key with the wifi sign

Great to hear the wireless wasn't working because of that switch, such a simple solution to a frustrating problem. :)

For the drivers, I recommend you DON'T use Intel ProWireless, it's been known to be clunky and leak memory. It's better to use the built-in Windows Wireless Wizard, it does the job much simpler and cleaner, IMO.
