    hi,

I have been looking for the past 2 weeks for the perfect laptop for me.
After concidering alienware, dell and toshibha i finaly found on the sager NP9260.
This product seems to be the best for me for various reasons, ranging from the price to the game capacities.

However, where can i buy it form the uk??
I cannot buy it from the USA as the price as to be in UK pounds (my university is paying for most of it).
Could anyone please tell me whether or not it is possible to find this laptop in the UK??? i m kinda desperate....

    Thanks :)

Sager is a Clevo reseller I think. In the UK, mostly Rockcomputers and Evesham resell Clevo laptops

www.DPCtech.net are an Italian company that are moving their HQ to London (they told me in an email when I was interested in buying from them). They sell the D901C (black version) in the form of their "Frankenstein" machine. They also sell the 570RU ("Nosferatu"). Press the British flag button at the top of their page for the prices in UK pounds rather than Euros. Also they do show the price with VAT after config page of desired machine.

I was going to buy my D901C (I live in the UK) from DPCtech, but decided to take a gamble and buy from the US ( XoticPC). Everything including VAT (but no duty on imported laptops) delivery etc. cost £2000, about £550 cheaper than DPCtech. XoticPC were okay to order from although they almost screwed my order up (due to them being so busy that my emails were not being read properly- I think you guys need to get some more sales staff, there's only so much one man can do :) and their estimated build times for their systems are rather optimistic. But all in all I got my system in just under 3 weeks and it arrived safely with no obvious missing parts- touch wood- so they did okay. The £1 for $2 rate at the moment really helps.

DPCTech have a good price range for a D900C with bare essentials (default config), but they overcharge for component upgrades from the defaults, so the price tag increases rapidly the more you upgrade. They do have a interesting upgrade warranty (but that costs a lot too).

I've had a few people PM me on my experiences of buying a laptop from abroad into the UK. If I find the time I might try and write a guide/ things to be aware of or aviod etc. I hope this help some.

    Sager 9260 config:

    WUXGA (1900x1200) screen / Core2Duo E6700 / Dual 7950's in SLI / 4GB 667GHz RAM / (1) 200 HDD (SATA-II) / Bluetooth v2.0 / Intel pro wireless AGN

But with support? You have to ship it to US? Have you add taxes?
In US Clevo is really much cheaper. I think in Europe better prices are from DPC
Give us some feedback when you'll receive the note bro ;-)
