sager np2090 keyboard help!

Hi guys

I'm playing an older game and some fun features require the console which opens with the ~ key. But on a np2090 is it the shift (secondary function) of the ` Therefore I cant open it on my game!!! can you guys think of a way of overcoming this? I've tried pressing shift and ` but it doesnt open .
The game i'm playing is elderscrolls morrowind, so can you guys help...

i've never played morrowind... but can you remap the controls in-game?

 

I can remap all the other keys but not the console key

 

so any ideas!!!!!

 

I had the same problem (with Oblivion) for a while. The shift has nothing to do with it, it is the key on every keyboard. The reason it does not work is that the IR receiver uses that key. I had to uninstall it's drivers, that allows the tilde to be use.

This is how:
goto device manager, expand everything and look for something that has IR or CIR in it (i cant remember exactly because it is still unistalled), right click then unistall. That will fix it.

BTW I completed oblivion and it great as well!!!!

 

Those are keyboard stuff so don't touch them. I believe it is under "human interface devices". It is an IR receiver and should have those words as part of it's description. If you need more help please expand all the devices and post a pic.
Important: did the console work in Oblivion? If so this fix may not work.

 

ok i found one with "cIR" it's under human interfaces...

and in elderscrolls forums it suggest to update some driver for the keyboard. but i'm on a laptop so i'm not quite sure.

Yes unistall the ENE CIR receiver that should work. It did for me.
