so, searched for the specific model but didnt find any other mentions of it.

got a blue screen of death during gameplay

    whea uncorrectable error

trying to diagnose whats wrong with it, i used to know alot more about these sorts of things but could really use a helping hand.

when it does boot into windows it lags frequently, mouse cursor halting, typing stalling at showing characters show on screen, menus freezing

Run WhoCrashed and read the windows dump and post it with spoiler. The info you posted doesn't mean anything afaik

    SAGER NP7879PQ-H (CLEVO NH77HPQ)

So, now you have the real model # you'll find more resources for. I run into the same issue with mine not being a top of the line option that's talked about often here or elsewhere.

I would probably start with running DDU to purge the drivers in safe mode and then reinstall the revision prior to what's currently installed. Looks like it shipped with a 3060 so hunt down the NVIDIA driver or use the GeForce update utility to reinstall / update.

This will be helpful in finding the newer released BIOS / drivers / manuals

FYI if you flash a BIOS from the above repo site, be aware that it will change the BIOS from a Sager to Clevo one. From my experience doing this can work but can also void the laptop's warranty. Check the BIOS sticky though for a bit more info.

If I followed that logic then I would still be on an outdated BIOS from 2019 vs 11/2020. While the BIOS doesn't typically change too much over time other than security fixes / refining HW features it's still advisable to update it periodically. Unfortunately though the resellers don't supply many updates nor does Clevo directly if you look through their page it's better than Sager but, still no BIOS updates for most models.

Clevo is the Wal-Mart of OEM's when it comes to supplying updates. If you don't go hunting them down they won't get applied. There's not a nifty little update checker for them at all. Presuming you found Clevo at all means you're hunting down the HW not the name. They're a good deal when it comes to packing HW for the price though which makes them appealing but, they're not for the faint of heart when it comes to support.

I had never heard of them prior to the model I have currently but, my next one will probably be Clevo as well. I don't need the fluff from the other OEM's nor the price jacking for their advertising budget. As to the warranty it gets a bit odd sometimes. I bought mine off ebay and once it arrived I ran the SN on the warranty checker for Sager and found it had a 3-yr warranty attached to it. Some time went by and I was doing some mods and decided to see if I could find some parts under warranty. I pinged Clevo and they were not very helpful other than quoting prices but, when they checked the SN referred me to a store in UT where apparently it was purchased from originally. Why would the store be doing repairs instead of the MFG? It doesn't make much sense and kind of a PITA to have some 3rd party working on your tech devices.

I agree you for the most part and wasn't trying to downplay anything. My "problem" with flashing a stock Clevo BIOS into my Sager BGA laptop was I later found out that flashing back from a Clevo to Sager BIOS is risky as described by Blacky and could result in a bricked machine. Had I known that I would have reached out to my reseller for the latest BIOS to flash instead. I won't though because I can undervolt my CPU and don't want to risk that being taken away so I don't. I never had any problem with the BIOS or EC so in that sense I broke the rule of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I have never flashed an updated EC though. I may buy another Sager laptop in the future but the Lenovo Legion series is really enticing to me as well.

EDIT: lol I read to the end of that thread which has a comment from Prema about it being an non-issue? Okay I guess flashing from Clevo to Sager isn't a problem but I still don't want to lose undervolting.

Good mantra for some things but, electronics tend to buck that idea over time.

The only time I've had an issue flashing a BIOS was with a workplace Dell and they ended up sending a tech to replace the MOBO. Flashing from Sager to Clevo or vice versa shouldn't be an issue unless it contains a different set of instructions for different HW. There's always a chance of a BIOS causing an issue though if something goes wonky during the process.

A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: netwtw10.sys (Intel® Wireless WiFi Link Driver, Intel Corporation).
Google query: netwtw10.sys Intel Corporation WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR

    Conclusion
2 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. A third party driver has been identified to be causing system crashes on your computer. It is strongly suggested that you check for updates for these drivers on their company websites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates for these drivers:

netwtw10.sys (Intel® Wireless WiFi Link Driver, Intel Corporation)

If no updates for these drivers are available, try searching with Google on the names of these drivers in combination with the errors that have been reported for these drivers. Include the brand and model name of your computer as well in the query. This often yields interesting results from discussions on the web by users who have been experiencing similar problems.

Read the topic general suggestions for troubleshooting system crashes for more information.

Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further.

working on that now will report back on that soon. and thanks to everyone who came to share ideas and experience, am new here, this seems like a great community so far

Here's what's causing it. I've had issues with Intel drivers in the past that caused some really strange things like random reboots w/o a BSOD. The logs / event viewer was showing a kernel-power issue which lead me down the road of looking at the power brick but, that didn't resolve it. I switched to Linux for a few days and all of the madness stopped ruling out a HW issue.

go download a prior version of your network driver in this case and things should become stable again.

i rolled back a wifi driver, uninstalled some programs i do not recall ever installing recently, which maybe were updates that were things installed awhile ago but showed up in the list more recent due to that? i dont know. also downloaded something for intel driver and support assistant, which then asked if i wanted to uninstall it... after telling that no, then opening it up and not letting it update any drivers I have rebooted it and *knock on wood* things seem to be resolved. I upgraded to win11(after everything mentioned prior), not because I wanted to but because.. for lack of a better analogy "throwing everything and kitchen sink at it"

sager tech support took an incredibly long time to say:

"We're so sorry to see this error message.... can you please tell me the current BIOS ver?"
