So I'm considering purchasing an NP8130, and I'm just wondering what the main differences are between the stock wireless card it comes with and the Intel Advanced N 6230. I realize it is only a $25 difference with most resellers but if the range or reliability difference is negligible then I would go stock. My current HP has an awful wireless card that will randomly stop picking up signals at times, so I want something that is reliable.

Avoid bluetooth combo cards with the wifi. Don't go with the stock wifi card nor the 6230 spend the $35 and upgrade to the 6300. Money well spent.

Stock: 1x1 antennas, 150Mbps, BT
6230/1102: 2x2 antennas, 300Mbps, BT
6300/1103: 3x3 antennas, 450Mbps
If you have a router that supports Wireless N at 300 or even 450Mbps, you'll see a boost in signal strength (and with that, range) as well as throughput, especially if you do LAN transfers or gaming. I recommend Intel's for reliability and the Bigfoot cards for lower latency.
That said, the stock card works OK, and if you don't have an upgraded N router or do much LAN transfers, you won't see a huge difference in upgrading.
sager wireless card any good?
