ill apologize ahead of time i need to vent...
i have 3 of these in my possession now. all 3 are some of the worst paint jobs i have seen. these are not after market jobs they come from clevo or the reseller that way. all 3 have large dirt specs under the paint one has 2 runs in it, there was a piece of dirt on the lid that clevo i guess decided to try to sand out and there is a maybe 2" area that is dull as heck and they used some seriously harsh paper or whatever they used they actually grooved the paint i even used a high speed wheel and while i got it glossy again i can see cleary the spot they sanded and they went in all different directions so it for sure noticable.
another one they sanded the whole thing and it has lines in it everywhere. and something that maybe looks like overspray or something. lot of little dots everywhere hard to tell because they sanded it.. also some of the corners you can see the white under the pink (this was for a 5 year old and she wanted pink) where the paint didnt cover all the way.
the third is the best of the three but still a very uneven coat of paint and yes this one is sanded also but much more gently done. i was able to buff this one and the sanding marks are almost not seen.
now maybe i am to picky. i dont know but i for sure expected far better from a oem paint job and i know dell's do not look like this as well as hp etc..
im not trying to knock clevo i still think they make a great system and these are aweseom little 12" (m72r barebones) but ill be re-spraying all three of them with a new finish soon enough. i got these on a closeout deal and i guess for what i paid i got what they are worth but still...im mostly letting you know if you are as picky and a perfectionist like i am and are considering this model or the m72t same thing just montevina just know ahead you may not be happy with the paint job.
sorry had to vent this was bothering me all week. and thank you to anyone who read it and listened. i did try to take pics but its hard to tell unless you see them in person. but anyone that knows paint and knows what a bad wet sand job looks like.... you know how these look
sager, etc. (clevo) 12"'s have some seriously aweful paint
