those are the pics of the clock speeds or whatever( i really dont know all the technicality of graphics cards) from dell 1520's 8600gt card.
everyone on dell's board is really disappointed saying the card is incredibly underclocked

    disappointment starts at page 8.

this makes me wonder, how underclocked is the sager2090's 8600gt?
is it better clocked then then dell's?
and why do they come underclocked?

those are both dell's clocks or is one the sager 2090. if it's just dell then it is identically clocked with the sager 2090

They underclocked the Hel80, presumably for battery life and temp control. Compal doesnt tout the IFL90 as a dream machine or as cometition for the G1S, we all did that on our own. Same with the Dell I believe, we all saw the card and since we knew what the G1S could do with it, we expected the same.

Both are still great machines for the money. If you could get the IFL90 or the 1520 for 400-500 less than the G1S and outperform it, that would be way too good to be true. I have to admit I even thought we might see it for a while, but they are still very sound machines nonetheless.

No one really knows, but honestly in my point of view, I really don't care. Those numbers really only pertain to synthetic benchmarks, of which I could care less rather than tangible performance increases in real life situations.

I couldnt agree more. After seeing what the F3SV can do with the 8600GS I know the GT will be more than enough for me regardless of its score.
