    I just use window's power management and tweak the settings around to my favor. I also use the smart battery utility program to keep the battery charged at 50% so it maintains it's longevity when plugged into an outlet.

    thanks icecube, but i'm looking for power management programs/software that manage the processor/gpu/screen. i would like for my processors to downclock when on battery.

    The GPU will downclock on the Windows "Power Saver Mode" I know this because I forgot to set it back before gaming and it was impossible. The screen is defaulted to fairly dim on this setting also. As the CPU goes since you are running a C2Duo it will step depending on its current load
