    hi guys,

i just purchased a new GPU (fx 3700m) to replace a defective 7950 gtx on my d900c/d901c. the problem is that the screws mounting the heatsink to the GPU dont fit (it seems to require thicker ones).

also, the laptop screen stays black and is beeping with the new GPU. i re-mounted it a couple times and same problem. i put in my old one and the computer boots up normally. is this card dead or whats going on?

How are you mounting the heatsink to the FX3700 if the screws don't fit?

    For the other issues:
    1. I would make sure you have the latest BIOS on the system:
    1.00.22 and KBC 1.00.13N.
    2. Also make sure you have the rev6 motherboard, will be printed on the RAM socket.
    3. There are a set of dip switches under the keyboard (if you have the rev6 board), that will probably need to be adjusted.
