    short beep?

    I have been noticing a short, low beep coming from my notebook. It only happens occasionally and I notice it mostly while playing Diablo 3. Anyone know what it could mean?

    could be that you're overloading the keyboard with commands and that it can't take it all and issuing a beep to let you know. I might be wrong, it's happened to be once in Adobe premiere and I was able to repeat it by pressing a lot of keys on the keyboard at once.

    Could be. Though I don't really press a lot of keys at once. I'm mostly just holding down shift and pressing spacebar for one of my abilities. I'll see if I can reproduce it.

    You might be triggering sticky keys (it beeps) by pressing shift 5 times in a row.
    Try triggering it and it will bring up a menu to turn it off

    I thought that too, and I do believe it popped up once and I disabled it....I don't get the pop-up anymore. I'll look into it. Thanks.
