so, should i go for it? or wait. i have been getting mixed thoughts on this and am not sure if i should go ahead with it or wait untill others have offers.

ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
yeah its a bit steep not bad sepup though, but i would wait.
-
Actually, I decided to wait a while. I was initially all fired up about a new laptop with new processor technology. But the more I thought about it, the more I remember the problems I had when I did an "impulse" purchase of an AMD system when the FX processors first came out...I never did get that system to work right and you see how many offer that anymore.
I, just this week, decided to upgrade my current laptop with more memory and a bigger hard drive and wait several months until the Montevino "kinks" are worked out. I am also interested to see how the the heat issues work out with an 8800 or 9800 GTX in a 15.4 laptop. I figured the $250.00 I spend now for a drive and memory is a pretty good investment for avoiding the hassles of being an early adopter...again!
-
WAIT. You still don`t know how this laptop will handle heat and such.
Give it some time to settle down and learn what it`s capable off. Don`t play guinee pig for the companies -
Who knows it might be like the m15x wait to see what kings and quirks it has and then have them be ironed out. No laptop on release will be perfectly stable there will be some issues or problems with it. Even this rock solid 5793 in its earlier stages 5791 etc had problems.
-
you think the 570tu might have some issues too dispite it being based on the same chasis?
-
No, I`m 100% sure the TU will not have issues.
-
hope they fix the audio issue though........
-
Won`t happen. Same chassis, maybe just a modded mainboard.
-
yeah i think i will wait. I dont think that i will wait very long to see how the laptop performs first, but i think i will wait untill the 14th and 15th when NDA's will be released.
I dont mind being a bit of a guiny pig..... as long as im a perfect succes one^_^ -
from my experience with desktop mobos, the sound and the io plug ins are part of the motherboard and the case only provides additional ones. So would the sounds problem be more with the motherboard?
lol, well the problem with guiny pigs is that no one knows their success rate... until after the experiment. -
ill be very resiliant!
-
One thing to understand, anyone who is willing to place a pre order is already willing to be a guinea pig.
Of course, with Clevo, this was a well researched decision. -
i dont think i can possibly spend anymore time researching this laptop. (if only i did this much research for my tests....... sigh....)
-
Hey it cant be worse then what the m15x was on launch now can it
And half of their issues were due to their chassis material, so as long as Clevo sticks by what they have used for their other laptops that eliminates about half the problems
-
I`m confident about both the TUs being good deals.Let`s hope Clevo won`t prove me wrong.
should i go for it?
