    im not sure if anyone else has had this problem but it happens to me at random times. When i shut my computer off, it says its shutting down but than for some reason just restarts itself and stay on... anyone know what is making this happen?

    Probably just a software issue if this had never happened before.

    OS Software glitch or corruption.

    After this occurs
    start > run, type

    eventvwr.msc
    <enter>

    Look under systems and applications for items with red Xs that happened at the SAME time as your problem...list them here.

    I do not want a list of errors, I want to see what the errors are--and ONLY those errors that are showing at the SAME time as your problem.

    Now, DOUBLE CLICK the event(s) and you will be presented with a dialogue box. On each dialogue box is a COPY button that looks like two pages of paper. Click that. Now, right click in the ADD REPLAY box, and choose PASTE from the context menu.

    My guess is an application is fouling/blue screening on shut down for some reason--Windows by default will reboot on a blue screen if you did not shut that off
