    Hello,

First of all i think you guys are doing a great job inhere.
There is a great tutorials in upgrading the bios of the clevo m570tu, which i performed and it works like a charm! Fan isnt that loud anymore and the thing doesnt freeze anymore when i set the fan to low speed, and last but not least: the biosupgrades which are supplied inhere are found nowhere else!

But now has anyone of you replaced the 570tu with a solid state drive?
Have you come across any problems? and which one did you buy?

I am interested in the Kingston SSDNow V+ 128GB SSD, 128 gb because only one harddisk can be placed in the unit. 64 isnt enough and the rest.....well the bigger the better...but the more expensive as well.

    here are the specs:

    Sequential Read Throughput — 230MB/s
    Sequential Write Throughput — 180MB/s
    Form Factor — 2.5"
    Interface — SATA 1.5 Gb/sec. and 3.0 Gb/sec
    Capacity1 — 64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB
    Storage temperatures — -40 - 85°C
    Operating temperatures — 0 - 70°C
    Dimensions — 69.85 x 100 x 9.5 mm
    Weight — 84 gram
    PCMARK® HDD 2005 Score 2
    64 GB — 38,177
    128 GB — 38,065
    256 GB — 38,272
    512 GB — 37,974

I recommend Intel 80Gb or 160Gb - and I'm not alone in that.
When the Crucial C300 with improved firmware is out, it could finally be a Intel beater, but untill then...

I have the Intel 160GB. Makes such a huge difference compared to 7200rpm spinning drive.
It's the best investment I've made. No problems.
