I have a couple questions about the P151HM1 and the W150HR I was hoping some of you could clear up.

    1. About how big is the performance gap between the 555 and 560 graphics cards?

    2. Can anyone tell me the approximate battery life I can expect from each of these two machines. (and the settings tested on, screen brightness, wifi, etc)

    3. Just a general question, but is sales tax applied when purchasing from either Malibal or Xotic for the P150HM1?

    4. Another general question, but is there any reason to order the P151HM1 from Xotic, and not Malibal since Malibal is slightly cheaper?

    5. What is the difference between the stock wifi card, and the IntelĀ® 6230 Advanced-N 802.11A/B/G/N LAN and Bluetooth Card

Thanks in advance to all who answer.

I'll try to answer the general nonspecific questions for you:

    1. The jump is about 40%. See the cards here:

Mobile Graphics Cards - Benchmark List - Notebookcheck.net Tech

    2. Most people get around 2.5-3 hours average on the P151HM1. We don't list the W150HR on our site (we can special order it though if need be)- browsing the forums, it seems 4-4.5 hours is the average.

    3. Sales Tax depends on the state and reseller. We charge tax in Nevada only. Most resellers only charge tax in their home states.

    5. The difference between the wifi is that the stock card is a 1x1 card (1 send, 1 receive antenna) and is only rated for 150Mbps. The intel 6230 is a 2x2 card, rated for 300Mbps. If you have a home network that can support it, the Intel card offers 2x the speed and a bump in overall performance at similar ranges.

if you are getting the gtx 560m go with the p151hm it will be much cheaper, unless you are planning to upgrade and dont want to get a new powersupply, in which case you should ask your preferred reseller to hold the card you want, right now theres a great deal on the 485m.

Thanks for the replies, that really clears up those questions for me Malibal #2, thanks!

I would get the 485, but it is a few hundred dollars more than I'm looking to spend right now, and the stats for the 560m seem to fit my needs pretty nicely.

so get the p151 and save some money then, no need to get the p150. they are the same laptop, but the p150 is rubberized and has a 180 watt power supply for more powerful graphics cards.
