    I've notice that the sound when viewing movies or listening to music with XP, is much louder than when listening to the same thing on Vista. Now I know this is because I’m able to max out the Realtek EQ on XP, but have not found out a way to max the EQ using Vista. So if you have the 57xx series notebook, how are you able to max out the EQ with Vista using Realtek?

    Nope, as far as I can see, vista only has the 'presets'

    I was afraid of that, darn!

    @Gixxerdude

    I will admit that it makes loud windows sound, but it is much less louder than XP when watching a movie or listening to music. It's no problem if I'm using my external speakers, but very noticeable if listening through internal speakers.

    I just don't know why they would leave out the standard EQ in Vista, giving you only the preset options. :(
