Anyone having static problems with the integrated microphone? I've only tried recording with the sound recorder in windows vista. However, the background static is extremely loud and my voice very low in comparison.

I've tried playing around with the realtek driver settings but haven't been able fix it.

edit: oh sorry, this is for the np2090

check out my Sager NP5790 Microphone Test on youtube. I am getting no such problem.

In RealTek, is your microphone boost on? If so, if it is set too high, you will hear static and feedback. Mine is usually at 10db, 1 bar up from default.

microphone boost is only from 0db to 20db for the NP2090. yeah it is real staticy sometimes making a high pitched whining noise when you use 20db. at 0db you can barely hear anything.

I started threads here and the Compal forum re: this problem. Compal couldn't have left the mic's this bad for production :( Mine are unusable. Hopefully some update can address this. Total waste if this is as good as it gets.
