The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Sorry for "necroposting" in an earlier thread... that is the proper thing to do on a lot of forums. In fact I've never heard the term necroposting before. I was asked to please read the forum rules, I have, and still don't see anything about that here:

    Sorry if anyone was offended, maybe the rules should be updated to reflect the rules or, if the rule is located elsewhere maybe it could be displayed more prominently so newbs like me won't miss it.

    But the fact still remains that I'm looking for a link to the bios that doesn't require a password for access.
