This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    do any of the resellers offer student discounts? I'm especially interested in malibal and xoticpc.

    if they do, what proof would you need to provide to qualify for the discount?

    Its harder for them to offer a student discount since their profit margins are somewhat lower than apple per unit. The nbr member discount is pretty decent and take advantage of the cash discount as well

    If you order from Eurocom you can get a 10% student discount.

    For proof you have to send pictures of the front and back of your school ID.

    Mythlogic offers a student discount. I'm not sure on the percent but if its like the .mil discount you need a .edu email or some other proof of current enrollment that you can send them.
