i have a clevo p650sg (sager8652) and i uninstalled the synaptics driver. i then lost the ability to login via fingerprint reader. i still have the fingerprint driver installed though ('egistec fingerprint driver')are these two somewhat tied together?

If you want to selectively disable the touchpad: unplug cable #24. For the clickpad unplug cable #23:

Were they synaptics driver causing you issues so you decided to uninstall it, or were you just doing some clean up of programs.
