i need something stable and with really good performance for the jfl92. this is for someone who doesnt do a whole lot of gaming but wants it to be totally stable. any suggestions?? i have the 174.90 from sager's site.. i would assume since they released it it should be pretty stable especially when not oc'ing.. also have the dell oem releases.. etc.. the one from sager for the 2090 is way to old imo.. not to sure about the 8600 i dont have much time with it.

need one asap. thanks for the info

try these. 169.04, 167.59. 167.79 and i think 174.16. i think the 169.04 will not allow standby to work though.

As as drivers are concerned , the 169.25 seems to be a sweet spot for the 8600M GT(as does the 175.75 in some cases).

You can only hope for the best.
But yes, as far as I remember, 169.25 were among the best for the 8600M GT at that time.
175.75 won`t allow me to create custom resolutions for some reason...

i dont need custom res with this one as long as it supports the native 1440 one. again this is not for someone who will be oc'ing or playing many games. her main concern is to have 0 crashes or issues that could be driver related. how was the sager .90 one? i assume if they released it they were comfortable with its stability??

Well, as I said, nobody can really know.
But , it`s not that hard to update the drivers.
I still recommend the 169.25 and 175.75 ones,as do most 8600M GT users.
Consider moving the thread into the Gaming section, you`d get more answers there.

I just updated to 175.50 last weekend without any issues at all on a 2090. My whole system is actually running faster now. :D

I used to have a 8600MGT and the best driver i used for it was 169.01, best IQ, best 3dmark scores, was 100% stable and was still good for OC. I recommend 169.01.
