    thermal pads and paste?

    Guys i am going to repaste my 2 980m gpus, would it be benificial to use a small amout of thermal paste on both sides of the termal pads as well?

    NOO don't ever use thermal paste on thermal pads! That completely gets rid of the point of thermal pads.

    Right, just use the paste on the CPU/GPU.

    The pads are soft and will make good contact so long as they are the right thickness.

    Adding in more thermal layers just hinders performance.
