The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. little does he know that it's a CLEVO..

and the guy that says he has hinge crack problem with his 500p, my last sager 5680, the one I'm typing on right now had /has hinge crack issues. it's a known fact that it was a defect in the clevo model. and happened to everyone with them because they didn't re-inforce the hinge cover and the hinges were too tight.

Did you happen to notice when this was posted? "Right now (MAY/2001) . . . "

I'm sorry to read that you've got problems with your own machine but I'm not sure why you bothered with the link. The logic is probably beyond my intellectual capacity. LOL

FWIW: A few years ago I owned a Voodoo m860 which was based on the Arima 700. It also had cracked hinge syndrome (as did the 68xx models from eMachines which were also based on the same Arima model). Fairly common problem, unfortunately.
