right now i've got an HP laptop with a blu ray drive, and i'm planning on buying the sager np9150. I'd like to switch the optical drives if I go through with the purchase, and I was wondering if the blu ray drive would be compatible with the sager.

blu ray drive info: Mata BD CMB UJ141AF

I'm not worried about compatibility between the HP laptop and the Sager optical drive.

As long as its a SATA connection and 12.7mm it should fit. As long as they didnt use a proprietary size which is pretty uncommon to do for optical drives. You should be able to take the bezel off the Sager stock drive and put in on that one.
