I am planning to buy a laptop in a couple weeks to play the new star wars mmo and was wondering if the 8130 was powerful enough to run it on the highest settings. If not I would consider getting the 8150 with the better screen and 6990.

I think the NP8130 should be fine, plus it will be a lot cheaper compared to the NP8150, but if you have the cash, you might at well get the 6990m as it is on sale right now an XoticPC

I'd still go for the 8150 if you had the cash. much better on the long run with the 6990M. its like the compender between the best and second best mobile GPU available today.

Just a little hint: the 6990M is 2x as fast as the GTX560M. Consider 2x performance if you plan on using the laptop for more than a year.

My specs are in my sig and trust me - that laptop is capable of running anything. Maybe Metro 2033 will need some options lowered, but its a laptop - thats normal.

Im a starcraft 2 player and play custom maps with tons of units, all that on Extreme settings. This card is the best value on the market right now.

I got to play beta weekend on both my desktop which has a 250 gts and my sager 8150 with a 6990. My desktop got real bogged down and had low fps(however I was using very old drivers due to an issue that has since been fixed and I upgraded to the newest drivers) I also had to turn the settings way down. The sager on the other hand I don't think I dipped below 60fps with everything maxed. Of course it is beta so when the real deal comes out who knows.
