I looked at the tv-in connector- looks like a very small RCA connector type but I
have no idea what it is called , if it is standard (which I assume).
Could anyone help me out with this please?
was planning to purchase a tv tuner card and install myself, but I need to find what type of connector to use at the back so I can find the right adapter from my from my cable-tv outlet.

The Back of the Clevo M570U:
The TV Tuner is a RCA composite video-jack that you see initially (which can be used for external video devices and game consoles). But one of the accessories that comes with it, especially if you buy the notebook with a TV Tuner built-in is this:
As you can see, the RCA-adapter jacks into the port on the notebook, and now you have a standard coaxial port for cable-tv or antennas.
Note: The TV-in capabilities only works when you get a TV Tuner with the system. -
thanks for the reply but atleast on my laptop it is not an ordinary RCA composite video connector, as the central pin on the connector in the picture would be to thick to fit into the mating central hole in the connector on the laptop.
I have tried, and measured. The cental pin should be ca 1 mm thick.
of course I need a tv tuner card+ software , but I was planning to buy one.
Otherwise I might consider using the connector for an external Wlan antenna also. -
The connector isn't an rca plug. It seems like a custom plug which has a very small pin in the middle. Mine came with my notebook as I bought it with the tv tuner already installed.

i guess they changed the plug adapter, my Clevo has that port, but its a RCA port w/ a coax adapter (pic above) for cable or antenna.
