Make sure that the connections on the back of the notebook, and the power brick cable to the wall plug are secure.

I get that sometimes if its loose... no biggie.

Make sure you are always connecting the power cord to a good surge protector and not to an untrusted wall plug.... which would definitely create that buzzing noise.

    Thats normal on inductor/swiching AC/DC adaptors... ;)

That buzzing come from the internal MOSFETs(voltage regulators) on unload situations so be sure if your back DC connection is well inside.

    ;)

I was refering to the back of your NB, the DC power connection... make sure it´s all inside and well placed.

EDIT: BTW your AC/DC adapter is diferent from mine... ahh mine is 220V 50Hz...

Mine makes a very quiet, high-pitched, winning sound. It's VERY quiet. I only noticed it when I started charging my laptop on my nightstand after I went to bed. Is that normal? I haven't had any other "problems" so far.

i have the d901 so my brick is even BIGGER lol... my old one that screeched i just got replaced cause it was getting loud. But if you have to put your ear up to the brick to hear the buzzing, thats normal. If you noticed, run something really stressful to your CPU and GPU... the buzz gets louder! sucking more energy.

Yes Callidor there's slight buzzing... after all that's like two physical adapters in one. From my understanding it's an auto multi switching adapter containing both voltage formats of US and UK standards.... in other words, it should work anywhere in the world.
