    this is something that has irritated me for a bit now. it seems that the driver or something does not give me the option for a 'line in' in ventro to play sounds (that come from my laptop) into vent. is there anything i can do?

    did you try just selecting "wave"? From what I have experienced, Line In refers to anything that is plugged into the laptop, aka, like a Mic jack.
