    Hi guys

I would like to update the processor and perhaps add the additional turbo memory. What are my options for processor speed and where might i be able to buy it new but I guess at a good price. Also, is the video card upgradeable? Thanks.

Highest CPU you will be able to take: Intel Core 2 Quad QX9300. eBay works good, or the HP parts store if they still sell it.

Highest GPU you can take: Nvidia GTX 280M, which you have.

    Turbo memory is worthless.

I see you have a 5,400 RPM drive as your primary drive. You should shift the budget you have for a new GPU to an SSD drive. This is likely the best upgrade you can have, aside from the CPU itself.

Quad core capability depends on your motherboard revision, even though its 1066mhz fsb

If you have purchased your laptop originally with the GTX 280M, then you have most probably the quadcore motherboard revision. If this is the case, then I have an OEM Q9000 for you. Of course, it doesn't not have as much performance as QX9300, but it's much cheaper. If you are interested, then PM me.
