I purchased a np5796 about a year ago with the 9800m gtx graphics card in it. I'm running 2.8ghz/4 gigs of ram/vista ultimate and plenty of ram. I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade my video card to the 280gtx and if it is, how would I go about doing so and around how much would I be looking to pay?
I bought the laptop from the sager website.
Thanks!

It sounds like it is def possible, but are still waiting to hear about the cost and availability of the GTX280M.
Sounds like it is 'suppose' to be released in early May, that's probably about when we will hear about any upgrading possibilities.. -
cheebamaster: why dont ask sager first

yes it should work fine with a BIOS update to recognize the 280M.
both M570TU (5796) and M570ETU (5797) use the same MXM-IV slot. -
anyone know the current price for brand new MXM Type IV 8800M GTX card and 9800M GT card?

It was awhile back, but I believe XoticPC quoted me a 9800M GT for $500.
upgrade from 9800gtx to 280gtx np5796?
