I have a new 9262 and 1 of the 4 usb ports will not recognize any device. It is the lower left one looking from the side. It is the same with XP, Vista 64 and Win 7. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Does it show up with a yellow exclamation mark in the device manager, and has anything been logged about it in your event logs?

Hopefully it's just a case of a badly installed driver. Try fully uninstalling the USB drivers, and then reinstalling them. If you cannot find a separate USB driver, then you may have to uninstall and reinstall the chipset drivers. See if that doesn't right things.

I plugged a usb keyboard in and tried it in bios setup and the port in question did not work. That would mean a hardware issue I believe.
    Thanks for your help Shyster1

Have you discussed the possibility of sending it in for a warranty repair, yet?

Not yet, I just got it 12.18.08 and had to leave town for 2 weeks and just discovered the problem. I will still be within the 30 day return policy when I get home. I really hate to send it back but may have to

Well, in that case I would talk with your reseller to see what the options are for getting the 30-day return policy extended in order to permit you to send the system in to the reseller and/or Sager for repair, so that you don't have to be faced with the Hobson's Choice of either sending it in for a refund or sending it in for them to examine and, if possible, repair, but then lose your ability to return it for something else that crops up during the 30-day period.

That's a good point. I talked with them and I can send it in for a new motherboard or get a credit for $200.00 and live with having 3 usb ports. Not really sure what to do, I got a really good deal on it and don't like the idea of shipping it back and forth and risking damages to it.
