I messed up on a flash and now when the machine boots all I get is 3 beeps and a blank screen, I tried to blind flash but on rebooting still 3 beeps, so I guess I bricked the card right?
I tried nvflash -4 -5 -6 -a- y bios.rom I get the 3 beeps shortly after typing that. Guess I'll be off to get a replacement...

Are you sure it gets past POST?
Because if it doesn't, that would explain why you can't blind flash.
There might be a key-combo that will ignore the GPU and let the notebook POST so you can blind flash.
BTW after you type nvflash -4 -5 -6 bios.rom, you have to press Y a few times. -
yeee for me, I unbricked it! my bios was corrupt. Luckly I had several backups, phew!

For the future, I learned about a hardmod recently to make sure you can blind flash. If it were to come to that.

You can link 2 pins on the EEPROM to override something or another and it lets you blind flash no matter what. Its could be different pins for different EEPROMs though.
? Dead Nvidia 8600M GT GPU VBIOS Flash Needed?
...OR you can desolder the EEPROM and 1. solder one from a dead card with a compatible/good VBIOS on it or 2. hook up your EEPROM to a programming tool and flash it.
? Programming a MXM graphics module bios (by performing a hard flash).
Speaking of which, off topic but if anyone has dead cards I would really like to get a hold of some if only to salvage the eeprom.
video card flash gone bad, doh!
